Aunt Sheila's Pesto

Ingredients: 

Add to blender or cuisanart :

1/2 can chickpeas rinsed and drained
2 cups fresh basil
Salt/pepper/ garlic to taste

Start the machine and slowly add 1 cup olive oil.

Taste and if two soupy add more chickpeas -

You can also add toasted walnuts.

And if I had only a cup of basil I add whatever other fresh herb like flat parsley.

We have as an afternoon snack with crackers, veggies.
