Blackened Salmon Fillets

Notes: 

Can use fresh thyme, basil, or oregano
Any variation of spices!!
If keeping skin on (not recommended for recipes), put skin facing down first
If thick, can cook fish by covering skillet on low heat 6 to 7 minutes each side for first recipe

Ingredients: 

Recipe #1:
2 tablespoons ground paprika
1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper (too much?)
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
4 salmon fillets, skin and bones removed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Recipe #2
2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
3 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
juice of 1 lemon
1 lemon, cut into wedges
4 6-ounce salmon fillets, skinned
