Burgundy Stew with Dumplings

Notes: 

10/2011 - Decent, with decent leftovers. Heavier seasoning and more veggies would not be unwarranted. Dumpling dough is hard to work with.

Ingredients: 

2 lbs beef steak or stew meat
4 carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 onions, sliced
15 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
8 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
3/4 cup red wine or beef broth
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 cup water
3 tbsp flour

1 1/2 cups bisquick
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried sage
1/2 cup milk
