Cake - Vanilla Bean


Sarah’s “SweetCakes” Vanilla Cake Recipe (The Creaming Method)
Yield: 2-8 in. or 9 in. round cakes or 24 cupcakes


1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature, cut into small pieces
1 2/3 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temp
3 tsp vanilla bean paste (or pure vanilla extract)
2 cups cake flour [1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour + 1/4 cup corn starch]
1 cup unbleached, all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup whole milk
