Sugar
Water
Cream
Lemon(optional)
Butter
Vanilla essence
add 2 cups sugar to a pot.
Add enough water( cup and a half or less) -enough to cover the sugar. Add a splash of lemon to prevent the sugar from crystallizing( optional but helpful).
dont mix! Just swirl the sugar and water gently in the pan.
Turn up the heat.
DO NOT TOUCH or do anything TILL THE SUGAR TURNS AMBER BROWN!!!.
As soon as it turns amber, remove from heat and add the cream-keep mixing.
Add some vanilla essence and butter. Allow to cool.
