Cocoa Oatmeal cookies

Ingredients: 

1 1/4 C flour
1/2 t B power
1/2 t salt
1/3 C cocoa
1 1/4 C sugar
1 egg beaten
1/2 C milk
1 1/2 t vanilla
1/3 C lard
1/3 C butter
2 C quick oats

  1. Sift flour then resift 2 times with power, salt and cocoa
  2. Combine sugar, egg, milk and vanilla
  3. Add shortening and butter
  4. Mix in flour
  5. Stir in oats
  6. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet
  7. Bake at 350* fro 15 to 20 minutes
