Easy Oven Baked Meatballs With Herbs

Notes: 

Optional: include chopped fresh parsley, include dried thyme, include ground pork, include 1/4 cup bread crumbs, or include 1 garlic clove minced

Ingredients: 

1 pound ground beef
1/4 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1/4 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 large egg, slightly beaten


 

  1. Heat oven to 350 F. 
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingreidents.  Mix with hands until well blended.
  3. Shape into 1-inch meatballs using hands or a cookie scoop. Place on a cookie sheet. Makes 12-14 meatballs. 
  4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until temperature of middle is 155-160 degrees.  Typically you can remove at 155 degrees and it'll cook a bit more to 160.  USDA recommends 160 degrees for groundbeef.  Meatballs should be cooked through and nicely browned.
