Grandma Clara's Corned Beef, Veggies & Cabbage

Nice piece of corned beef
All Spice
Pickling Spice
Bay Leaves
Red & Gold Potatoes
Ketchup Sauce (see recipe)


  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil with the spices.
  2. Add Corned Beef , turn down the heat and cover for 4 hours or so.
  3. Take out the Corned beef and strip it of the fat.  Strain the spices from the water.
  4. Re-use the strained water to cook the vegetables and Cabbage.  Potatoes should go in first, then carrots, and cabbage last (cooking cabbage for a total of 8 minutes).
  5. Spread the Ketchup Sauce over the top of the Corned Beef, bake for 20 minutes at 350 and serve along side the vegetables and cabbage.
