5 cups water
1/2 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
10 oz (300 g) Korean radish, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon Korean soy sauce for soup
1 clove garlic, minced
1 green onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
a drop of sesame oil, optional
