Love Sauce "his favorite"
• Ground local boar (or venison or beef) browned w litto paʻakai. [we use a simple $25 meat grinder ordered online.]
*trick* the meat comes perfectly mild and tender if marinated about half hour in plain yogurt. We use approx. 1 cup yogurt/2 lbs. meat. Drain any liquid after browned, before adding veggies.
• Garden carrots & minced garlic
+ Garden oregano & basil.
Add carrots (or other veggies like green beans, broccoli or peppers) & garlic to cooked meat, on low heat & covered, just to soften veggies slightly. Turn off heat, then add fresh herbs and mix well.
• Organic sugar-free, salt-free tomato sauce.
Add to meat/veggies at very end- turn off heat, just let residual heat warm it. This way can re-warm when time to serve without overcooking or causing tomato sauce to turn sour.
• Organic pasta topped w fresh grated italian cheese. Organic pasta is key for us these days cause we trying to avoid wheat that has been sprayed with Round-up for ripening, which is known to cause major gut diseases and weight gain. Can get organic pasta affordably at costco or order from vitacost.com. Soon we'll try make our own pasta cause the meat grinder has a pasta maker attachment. Anyways...
• Winnaz. Enjoy.
