Miso Gravy


2 tbsp sunflower oil
1/2 onion- minced
1 bay leaf
2 cups water
2 tbsp tamari
2 tbsp corn starch mixed with 2 tbsp water
4-5 tbsp of miso paste mixed in a bowl with a small amount of water, to loosen the paste
3 tsp sugar
freshly ground pepper
