Sheppard's Pie Leftover Version

Notes:

I love this dish, maybe because of my English heritage. The traditional version is made with ground beef. The is our take on it using totally left over ingredients. In the one pictured we used left over steak and grilled zucchini and summer squash. A little onion would have made it even better. Use what you have.

Ingredients:

1 -1 1/2 pounds left over beef or steak
3-4 cups left over mashed potatoes
1 - 1/2 cups left over vegetables
1/3 cup steak sauce
1 tablespoon Kitchen Bouquet
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.

  1. Using left over beef including steak, roast or whatever you have. Cut into small cubes and then continue to chop till you get a rough chop.
  2. Place ina skillet with the steak sauce and kitchen bouquet and worcestershire and reheat. Add more suace till you get a smooth consistency.
  3. Chop left over vegtables up to the same size as the beef. Add to the beef mixture and incorporate till well mixed.
  4. Warm left over potatoes.
  5. Take a 8x8 baking dish and and spoon in the beef/veg mixture. Top with an equal amount of mased potatoes.
  6. Bake in a 350 F for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
