The rub can be prepared and stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 months. It’s also great on steak, burgers, pork chops and fish (use about 2 Tbsp per lb).

2 T chili powder
1 1/2 T garlic powder
1 t dry mustard
1/2 t celery seed (optional)
1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
Kosher salt and pepper
4 lb baby-back ribs
1/2 c ketchup
2 T cider vinegar
1 T molasses
1 T Worcestershire sauce
