Dhall Lentil Tomato Curry

Notes: 

Easy and quick to prepare, needs very little attention afterwards, but takes a long time to cook. Great on its own or serve with rice (half portions though)

Ingredients: 

90-100g Red Lentils
pinch of Salt
half teaspoon Curry Powder
two chopped and deseeded Tomatoes
half an Onion, roughly chopped
a cup of Water
maybe a smidgen of Garlic, crushed
a glug of olive oil
a little Balsamic or L&P


  1. Combine in pan lentils, salt, curry powder, chopped tomatoes, onion and water.
  2. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, simmer 35-45 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
  3. When almost ready, stir in a bit of balsamic and oil
